We’ve all heard this phrase before. But serious critics aren’t just spouting their opinions based on a gut feeling in the sense that this phrase implies. Criticism requires an extensive knowledge base of the genre, an eye for details and difference, openness to artistic exploration, as well as a rare knack for writing. In this blog post, we’re going to explore what it means to be a professional film critic: what do film critics do, how do they do it, and what is their place in the film world?

In this blog post, we’re going to dive into the subjective lens of German Expressionism. Graham is a student with a deep-rooted passion for all things film. He's seen an impressive range of movies and read widely on cinema, drawing insights from critics like Roger Ebert to historical accounts like "Oscar Wars."

His practical experience in film is notable; he produced a short film, "August," that made its way to Cannes, and he's been sharpening his skills in film development with Conley Media Productions.
Beyond film, Graham is an enthusiastic reader, exploring everything from Hemingway to modern fiction and significant historical events.
Outside of books and films, he likes to spend time outdoors - whether that’s skiing, playing tennis, or cycling. He is also deeply passionate about service projects he’s involved in, from construction efforts in Guatemala to environmental work in Alaska.
